All SCYSL teams need to be aware of League policies regarding scrimmages.

Because practice space is so tight and teams all have limited practice time, no scrimmages may be scheduled on SCYSL practice fields weekday evenings (Monday-Thursday) during the fall season (August 1 - early December).  Scrimmages may only be scheduled Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, and then only if these scrimmages do not interfere with scheduled Playing League or Cup games.

Furthermore, teams do not have the right to schedule scrimmages on their own without prior approval from the SCYSL Field Scheduler (in the case of all U11-older teams) or the appropriate Age-Group Coordinator.  All scrimmages must be posted on the Arbiter to avoid field conflicts.

We have already had a couple of violations of these policies this season, and the SCYSL Board will consider sanctions against teams that violate these policies in the future. 

Please be respectful of your fellow coaches who are all working hard to get their teams ready for the fall season.  Thank you for your cooperation.
