2008 SCYSL Coaches - Please Follow CYSA Tryout Procedure

Spring is usually a time when competitive teams hold player tryouts, and SCYSL would like to remind coaches to ensure that ALL players trying-out for any SCYSL and Santa Clara Sporting Teams are covered with insurance. If the player trying-out for your team is currently registered with anther CYSA Team during the 2007-08 Season, that player has proper CYSA insurance coverage. However, if the player is not currently registered with a CYSA Team, the coach is responsible to have the player and parent sign the CYSA Form 1601 – and write “Tryout” on the top of the form. Coaches, you are required to follow this process and if you fail to do so, you put yourself and the league at risk. Download CYSA Form 1601 - posted 4/10/08

Coaches, please note that CYSA District 2 shall enforce coaching license requirements this year. You must be properly licensed to register your team. CYSA Coaching Licensing Policy [pdf]- posted April 6, 2006
